It is used to automatically capture each passenger’s photo in the pre-cruise check-in phase when the guest takes their head shot using a mobile phone or webcam. The photo is later saved in MSC Cruises’ on board systems for security purposes and used during the voyage.

Compliant with ICAO standards
Face Verification ensures that the captured photo is compliant with International Civil Aviation Organization standards defined in ISO 19794-5, so that the photo matches all quality criteria and will later be suitable for MSC embarkation operations. MSC officers operating at the terminal and on board can easily compare the owner of the personal ID document shown during embarkation with the photo collected in the pre-cruise digital channels, which is checked by Neurotechnology's solution and transferred to the on board systems.
